    When a butterfly emerges from a chrysalis, it is a new creation.  A caterpillar’s metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly is symbolic of a believer’s spiritual transformation.
    When we become believers in Christ, we are “in Christ.”  We are a new creation.  However, this is not the end of the story.  It is just the beginning.  We do not suddenly become perfect and sinless.  Instead, we begin a lifelong journey of being transformed into the image of Christ.
