Despite its name, this bird hunts day and night for tasty crustaceans.  When hunting for crawfish during the day, this clever heron always faces the sun as it stands at the entrance of the burrow.  Doing so ensures that its shadow does not fall across the entrance of the burrow, thus alerting the crawfish of its presence.  The crawfish is protected by the sight of the heron’s shadow.  Similarly, we find protection in the shadow of the Lord.
