While hummingbirds appear to be quite fragile, they are actually surprisingly hardy.  They can fly 500 miles non-stop across the Gulf of Mexico each spring and fall.  They also aggressively protect their feeding territory from other hummers.  They will chase away intruders and fearlessly fight those who refuse to leave.  The Bible teaches us that we can be strong and courageous as well when we remember that God is always with us – through good times and bad.
