Red-Bellied Woodpecker

    Despite its red head, this is a Red-Bellied Woodpecker, not a Red-Headed Woodpecker.  Red-Bellied Woodpeckers are actually named after their least noticeable feature – a slight reddish blush on their lower bellies.  
    Likewise we are called Christians, but others can’t tell we’re Christians by the way we look.  Christians come in all shapes, sizes and colors.  People also can’t tell we’re Christians by the clothes we wear or even by whether or not we wear a cross.  Instead Jesus says that people will know we are his followers when we love others as he has loved us.
